Abstract
This study determined the responsiveness of the Barangay Ant-drug Abuse Council (BADAC) in Pasig City regarding anti-illegal drugs. The focus areas include capacity building, alternative livelihood programs, collaboration with law enforcement, and community watch. Sixty-seven participants from various agencies were involved.
Findings reveal that BADAC performs well in capacity building, training alternative livelihood, collaboration, and community watch. Challenges identified include lack of training, community support, funding, and drug supply. Proposed solutions involve enhancing BADAC initiatives, revitalizing anti-illegal drug campaigns, ensuring police training, showing commitment, securing sufficient funds, and promoting collaboration among law enforcement agencies. The study suggests adopting the proposed action plan for program enhancement in Pasig City’s anti-illegal drug campaign.
