Abstract
This study explores the potential benefits and challenges of integrating technology in personnel management at the Danao City Jail Male Dormitory in the Philippines. The study reviews relevant literature on the use of technology in correctional facilities, and interviews personnel at the Danao City Jail Male Dormitory to gather first-hand information on their experiences with technology integration. The findings suggest that technological integration can enhance operational efficiency and improve prison security, but several challenges and barriers must be addressed, including staff resistance to change and budget limitations. The study proposes several recommendations, such as prioritizing stakeholder engagement and technical expertise, allocating adequate financial resources and time, developing staff training and development programs, enhancing management support, prioritizing competitive pressure, and addressing regulatory requirements. By implementing these recommendations, jail management systems can enhance their effectiveness and efficiency in managing inmates and ensuring the safety of all involved parties.
