Abstract
ABSTRACT

In the case of a disaster, this action research is expected to provide a trustworthy radio communication system at Catarman Fire Station. It puts to the test a multi-source radio communication system for emergency response that can receive and transmit messages in real time over unreachable or distant regions in Catarman, Northern Samar where no signals are available.

Its objective is to determine the reliability of the multi-source radio communication system in the Catarman Fire Station. This action research collaborated with the LGU including the barangays, the colleagues in the Catarman Fire Station, the MDRRMO, and other communication groups. It used a spiral of action research cycle focusing on the cycles of planning of action and constructing. The ORJI model and three voices and audiences had been applied to generate data.

According to the project evaluation, the development of a multi-source radio communication system is a dependable form of communication that would persist for many years. It takes a team effort to respond quickly when disaster strikes. It is a feasible form of communication when all communication lines are severed. However, its durability is still to be tested as it ages due to the architecture it provides. Thus, further study is being recommended for the improvement of the project in the future.
