Abstract
The focus of this study was to determine the adherence of police front liners to IATF protocols and standards on the conduct of checkpoints within Region 02. Specifically, it sought answers to how the police front liners adhere to the IATF protocols and standards regarding the degree of implementation and their level of compliance to the said guidelines. The gaps and challenges were also analyzed based on the given variables. This study also investigated their personal sentiments in relation to their adherence in implementing such protocols and standards. This study is significant not only to the PNP organization but also to the local government unit and to the community as well. It made use of descriptive – mixed method (qualitative-quantitative) type of research. The survey questionnaire was administered to 85 police front liners in the different checkpoint locations who serve as respondents, which were selected through a convenience and standards with full compliance. However, respondents revealed their personal sentiment on personal safety and psychological well-being. Also, the number of duty hours and encounter with non-compliant that organization should continue its strict implementation of the guidelines, create programs and actions to address the physical needs and psychological well-being of the police front liners, and initiate campaign on people’s awareness about the threats of COVID-!9.
