Abstract
The Enhanced Community Immersion Program (ECIP) by the Philippine National Police (PNP) is an initiative to bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community. This program is designed to foster a deeper understanding and stronger relationships between police officers and the communities they serve. The ECIP involves police officers immersing themselves in local communities to engage with residents, understand their issues, and collaboratively work on solutions, promoting peace, security, and mutual respect. One of the core objectives of the ECIP is to break down social stigmas associated with police personnel. By directly interacting with community members, officers can demonstrate their commitment to service and protection, which helps build trust and alter negative perceptions. This direct engagement also allows officers to gain insights into the unique challenges and needs of the community, which can inform better policing strategies that are responsive to those specific needs. Moreover, this study used a Mixed Explanatory Sequential Research Method and involved 90 respondents coming from the RTC2, the Barangay Official, and members from Brgt. Daddap, Isabela as well as the Police Trainees. The data showed that the Program Objectives, Procedure, and Outcome are Highly Functional but there is a need to Propose and enhanced Community Immersion Program Manual to standardize the training of the PNP across the country.
