Abstract
Terrorism in the Philippines had been a national security problem and derailed the attainment of national peace and order, social prosperity, and national development. One of the terrorist strategies to advance their fight against the government is to organize deceptive social groups and mass building to include the youth and student sector. Thus, this study intends to strengthen and institutionalize the PNP strategy in preventing and countering insurgency recruitment of students and youths to lessen the impact of student recruitment and radicalization in schools and universities in our country. Results and findings are based on the perceptions of students, implementers, and stakeholders. The current approaches in the implementation of PNP program will be evaluated, and the effectiveness in terms of respondents’ knowledge and perception to measure the impact of the program in preventing and countering the recruitment of students. The goal of this research is to institutionalize PNP as our national strategy preventing and countering insurgency recruitment of students in our schools and universities.
