Abstract
ABSTRACT
The role of an Aide de Camp (ADC) in the Bureau of Fire Protection is
multifaceted and critical in supporting high-ranking officers and governmental
officials. This action research explores the diverse responsibilities and challenges
faced by ADCs, focusing on effective coping strategies and mechanisms employed to
manage their unique roles. Through a combination of qualitative interviews, observational studies, and reflective practices, this research identifies key aspects of
the ADC role, including administrative support, event coordination, and protocol
adherence. The study reveals that ADCs frequently encounter high-pressure situations
requiring both adaptive problem-solving and emotional resilience. The findings
highlight specific coping strategies such as time management, stress reduction
techniques, and proactive communication skills. Additionally, the research
emphasizes the importance of institutional support systems and professional
development opportunities in enhancing ADC performance and well-being. This
action research contributes to a deeper understanding of the ADC role and offers
practical recommendations for improving support structures and training programs to
better equip ADCs in their demanding positions. Keywords: Aide de Camp, roles and responsibilities, coping strategies, stress
management, professional development.
