Abstract
The local area public safety security study is focused on determining the most noticeable problem on the safety and security of people residing at Barangay Talog. Taytay, Palawan brought by the ropid increase of population due to its geographical location, landmass, and potential for business advancement.
This study is to determine the prominent problem on the safety and security of the Barangay Talog, Taytay Palawan and to evaluate the effectiveness of the PNP programs.
It specifically assessed the key factors in integrating project in terms of program implementation by discovering; how do these projects impact the lives of the people in the communities, assessing the current situation in the area, and recommending plans, programs and activities (PPA's) based on the result of the study.
Initial data and documents were taken through the Municipal Police Station of Taytay, Palawan, and google search. All available data that is helpful to the study and informative were incorporated in this paperwork. Basic information such as location, demographics, and natural resources were taken through the website of the Municipality of Taytay, Palawan.
The study aims to research and develop plans, programs, and activities to deter crimes within the area of study. thus, the descriptive method of research shall be utilized. The research module relates to the educational sphere of public safety and integrates the research module relates to the educational sphere of public safety and integrates the various elements of the course in a unified, comprehensive, and dynamic framework that will contribute to the growth of the professional and academic discipline.
The module presents strategies and initiatives to enhance the research capacity and productivity of the learners in consideration of emerging challenges and concerns to the public safety field resulting from the VUCAD (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous, and Disruptive) environment.
The Local Area Public Safety-Security Study or LAPSSS Report is one of the final requirements for the completion of the Public Safety Officers Basic Course. The objectives are to:
• anchor students' community mapping and policing knowledge with socio-spatial paradigms specific to a Municipality in the Philippines;
• enhance student socialization and communication and data gathering skills framed along with qualitative research approaches;
• enhance student understanding of social realities and emerging challenges and concerns to public safety fields resulting from VUCAD (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous and Disruptive) environment, and
• Direct students' orientation towards effective and efficient leadership as unit leaders or future Chiefs of Police.
