Abstract
Due to the stint of the COVID-19 pandemic as it cure is not yet recognized, the Philippine National Police (PNP) through is strategic initiative to address the current problem, establish quarantine check point and enforced rules and regulation as stated by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infection Diseases (IATFEID). The focused of this research is the lived experience of the Manila Police District (MPD) front liners during the pandemic. The respondents were assigned to different areas under the Area of Responsibility of the MPD that performed vital police operations. This research illustrates how the MPD personnel deal with the COVID-19 virus in term of risk, readiness and response. It also narrates the challenges encountered and coping mechanism that the MPD personnel imitated. The quantitative analysis of the data drawn from the interview. These experience as perceived are the reference of an action plan that will address the gaps in battling the COVID-19 that can be utilized by the MPD personnel.
