Introduction
In December 2019, the World Health Organization (WHO) disclosed a cluster of pneumonia cases of unknown etiology, and it originated in Wuhan, China, wherein the outbreak was later identified as a new coronavirus strain source. This novel coronavirus was later called Coronavirus Disease 19 or COVID-19 on February 12, 2020. Coronavirus are a large family of viruses causing a range of illnesses, from the common cold to more serious infections such as those cause by Middle East Respiratory Syndrome-related coronavirus (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-related Coronavirus (SARS-CoV) (WHO, 2020)
In the first quarter of this year, the first local transmission of the virus was recorded. The advent of the pandemic in the country disrupted many aspects – health, economy, education, transportation, agriculture, and other fields that affected the lives of many. Since then, we are battling these unseen enemies to prevent its transmission. During this challenging time, it is of importance that things be dealt with and be managed well. Concrete plans, creative arrangements, and action accompanied by good leadership and supervision from our leaders and supervision from our leaders, and with the community’s discipline and cooperation, will help reduce, if not remove, the effect of this pandemic. Ergo, it is deemed necessary that policies and regulations are geared toward adapting to the “new normal” while at the same time controlling the spread of the virus.
Moreover, this case study will show the relevance of control measures and other actions regarding the police service. And lastly, the identification of best practices and breakthroughs of Bayambang that can be replicated in other municipalities having the same problem as Bayambang that will result in the reduction, if not eliminate, the cases in Bayambang. Henceforth, researchers aim to compare the performance of the different municipalities, with respect to their accumulated number of cases, to further help the local government unit of Bayambang to have zero cases in the days to come while waiting for the prescribed vaccine to be distributed and be given to the public.
