KEY POINTS:
• The status of BPAT program is describe through Sustainability and Future Directions, Awareness and Understanding, Effectiveness and Impact, and Implementation Challenges;
• The challenges and barriers faced by BPATs are Capacity Building and Training, Resource Constraints, Coordination and Support, Community Engagement, and Sustainability;
• Action plans on Capacity Building and Equipment Availability are the solutions proposed by this case study; and
• This study will contribute to the empowerment of BPATs as an integral component in the delivery of public safety services.
