Abstract
Digitalization plays a pivotal role in the organizational transformation of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). the BFP in Region III plays a crucial role in disaster response and public safety within the region thus by embracing digital technologies, the agency can enhance its response capabilities, optimize resource allocation, and ultimately contribute to a safer and more resilient Central Luzon Region. This research sought to investigate the current status of digitalization of the BFP in Region III; evaluate how respondents assess the status of digitalization of BFP in terms of accessibility, appropriability, interoperability, and efficiency; enumerate challenges, problems, and limitations that were anticipated to encounter by BFP personnel relative to its full digitalization; determine the advantages of the full implementation of digitalization of the agency, the study employed a mixed-methods approach, incorporating quantitative data collection through surveys and qualitative data through in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including BFP personnel within the region and IT specialists from the BFP National Headquarters, and Focus Group discussion with some key BFP personnel within the region. Data analysis is facilitated through both statistical tools and thematic content analysis. The findings of this research were anticipated to provide valuable insights into the advantages and challenges associated with full digitalization within BFP Region III. The outcomes will guide suggestions for improving digital infrastructure, fine-tuning operational procedures, and executing specific training programs. Ultimately, this research endeavors to contribute to the ongoing efforts to enhance the capabilities of the BFP Region III in safeguarding lives and properties in Central Luzon.
