Abstract
This action research study explores critical success factors influencing the effective implementation of body-worn cameras (BWCs) and alternative recording devices (ARDs) during the execution of warrants by the Pasay City Police Station. The research investigates factors contributing to the successful adoption and utilization of these devices and identifies key challenges encountered in their implementation. It also assesses how these critical success factors affects transparency, accountability, public trust, and professionalism within the police station. Employing a mixed-methods approach, the study utilizes survey questionnaires, key informant interviews, and secondary data sources to gather and analyze data. Findings highlight the significance of clear deployment guidelines, training, equipment maintenance, data security, and collaborative partnerships in successful adoption. Challenges related to transparency and accountability are addressed through clear usage protocols, legal compliance, and community engagement. The study underscores the importance of these factors in enhancing law enforcement effectiveness and building trust with the community.
