Abstract
This study aimed to assess the existing health surveillance system of Bureau of Jail Management and Penology 12 employing Knowledge Management audit as a tool in order to examine the organizational culture. Researchers believed that the current system used in health unit of the Bureau needs to be assessed. Stratified sampling was employed to determine the sample participants of 135 consisting of jail wardens, jail nurses, custodial members, and escort member to 15 jail units of BJMP 12 through online survey. In the said survey, transportation (KM audit on input), process flow and work-in-progress (KM on audit on process), unit cost and environmental impact (KM audit on Output), and effective and efficiency (KM audit on performance) were ascertained to be best relative to the health services. However, energy, medicine and healthcare equipment, and health facility (KM audit on input), system improvement (KM audit in process), PDLs satisfaction and health services (KM audit in output), and relevance and productiveness (KM audit on Performance) were emphasized to be least which needed to be improved by the Bureau.
