Abstract
ABSTRACT
Mobility is indispensable in the discharge of PNP mandates and functions. Police visibility using patrol cars covers a wide range of areas that can prevent any criminal elements to commit criminal activities. It also supports and plays a major function in the conduct of any kind of police operation. It is empirical that an effective and efficient vehicle maintenance system can be established to prolong the serviceable status of police patrol cars as well as other general dispatch vehicles of the PNP. The researchers conducted this particular study in order to determine the level of implementation of the existing vehicle maintenance system of the PNP, particularly within the area of jurisdiction of Quezon City Police District, National Capital Region Police Office (QCPD, NCRPO), the maintenance of these vehicles, the sufficiency of the budgetary allocation for maintenance, and the availability of equipment and tools for the conduct of maintenance. The study can be the basis for the amendment/revision of the existing maintenance system to prolong the serviceability status of PNP vehicles.
