Abstract
The study titled Salaam Police Advocacy Group Counter Radicalization Program in two Muslim Communities, one in Taguig City and the other in Quezon City aimed at understanding how the Salaam Police Advocacy Group Counter-Radicalization program was implemented based in the Program Integrity Concept according to Dosage, Quality of Delivery, and Participants Responsiveness. The study used a descriptive mixed methodology and data were gathered quantitively through a self-formulated questionnaire floated to Muslim respondents in Taguig City and Quezon City and qualitative through key informant interviews in order to solicit the issues and challenges besetting the SPAGs’ counter radicalization program during focus group discussion. Document analyses were also conducted to validate the survey results. The findings revealed that two Muslim communities in Taguig City and Quezon City were satisfied, the program was productive and they are actively participated in the counter-radicalization program of SPAG based on the number of services provided, the manner in which the services were provided and the engagement and involvement of Muslim residents in the counter-radicalization program of SPAG. However, during the interview, the problems, issues and challenges that emerged were lack of support from LGU and PNP in the form of honorarium or compensation scheme, mobility and communication equipment, training ad education, livelihood assistance and their personal grievances. In conclusion, based on the tabulated results and interviews conducted, these findings emphasized the collaborative mechanism of key stakeholders to provide them with the necessary resources that would further enhance the program implementation of SPAG counter-radicalization. This paper recommends the adoption of SPAG Peacekeeping Triumvirate Action Plan (SPTAP).
