Abstract
Abstract

One of the most significant societal shifts has been the intensification of work
demands. In today's world, fire prevention programs are crucial for ensuring
community safety. This research primarily focuses on evaluating the current
implementation strategies of OLP with the barangays in Butuan City and identifying
areas for improvement through the SGLGB criteria.
Utilizing a descriptive approach, this research involves quantitative data
analysis of fire safety compliance figures and assessments with selected personnel of
barangays, BFP personnel (Butuan City Central Fire Station), and the constituents.
While there is a general awareness of fire safety measures among the barangays,
there are significant gaps in resource allocation, community training, and infrastructure.
The integration of the SGLGB framework, which emphasizes accountability,
transparency, and community participation, provides a structured approach to address
these gaps.
By aligning the Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan with the SGLGB framework, this
research demonstrates a viable pathway for strengthening fire safety and resilience in
Butuan City's barangays, ultimately contributing to the overall safety and well-being of
the community.
