Abstract
This research investigates the level of preparedness of the Tabuk City Fire Station
(TCFS) in responding to fire incidents, emphasizing the perceptions of both fire station
personnel and community members. The study employs a descriptive comparative research
design and a survey method to collect data from 60 respondents, equally divided between
community members and TCFS personnel. Seven critical areas of preparedness are
evaluated: water supply, tools and equipment, stakeholder engagement, running card
system, training and skills, ideal response time, and communication system. The findings
underscore the importance of continuous assessment and improvement of fire preparedness
measures to ensure a robust and effective emergency response system. The research is
significant for several reasons. Firstly, it provides valuable insights into the current state of
fire preparedness in Tabuk City, highlighting areas that require immediate attention and
improvement. Secondly, the study's findings can inform policymakers and fire safety
officials in developing targeted strategies to enhance fire response capabilities. Lastly, by
fostering a better understanding of community and personnel perceptions, the research
promotes a more collaborative approach to fire preparedness, ensuring that both the
community and fire station personnel are aligned in their efforts to prevent and respond to
fire incidents.
