Abstract
Peace and Order Agenda for Transformation and upholding the Rule of Law or PATROL encompasses the vision and mission of the Philippine National Police is because the main agenda of the PNP is to ensure that the public whom it serves are kept safe from harm and from criminal elements in the society. This case study of San Pedro Police Station in San Pedro, Laguna employed the convergent method of research which means getting triangulated data (from two of more sources) along: Police performance in community involvement, Public Order and Safety and Law enforcement.
It likewise sought to two in-depth interview questions: What are the problems, issues or concerns are experienced or observed by authorities and stakeholders in relation to the effective implementation of police patrol in responding to incidents, deterrence and prevention of crimes in the City of San Pedro, Laguna? And How should these problems, issues or concerns as be handled or managed for sustained effectiveness of police patrol operations in San Pedro, Laguna.
This study came up with the following key result areas that are addressed in the proposed action plan as follow; Mobility, community coordination, strict implementation of laws, information campaign, community as problem solver, force multiplier and observance of police ethics.
