ABSTRACT

This action research aims to ensure that their benefits are quickly released in accordance with the law by identifying the different factors that contribute in the delay of the release of retirement benefits. By visiting the processes and the policies, the researchers will identify the bottleneck of the processing and reduce the occurrence of delays. The collaborators in this research are the retirement processors from different offices in the BFP National Headquarters where the documents for retirement claims will pass through. Their first-hand experience in the processing of said documents will provide vital information for better understanding and appreciation of the whole process. After reviewing all the difficulties highlighted and the responses provided, the problems that affect the timely payment of retirement benefits were identified separately as applicants, retirement processors, and other concerned offices.
