The Tactical Combat Care(TCCC) is a pre-hospital combat emergency care with the objective of prolonging the survival rate of the injured police in the battle, and providing first aid measures to mitigate further complications. The study was conducted in Batangas Police Provincial Office in 2021. This capstones project evaluated the implementation of the TCCC training in Batangas PPO using the CIPP model; identified the issues and challenges in in the effective implementation of the TCCC training of PNP personnel in Batangas PPO; and came up with a training plan that would improve the implementation of the TCCC, using a validated and pre-tested questionnaire, 8 trainors and 69 police officers answered the survey through Google form.
The TCCC was assessed as a useful tool in improving combat operationalization and functionally as it provides practical exercises that enhance trainors ability in teaching learning by example and in executing authentic and reality based scenarios. The major issues identified were the limited number of trainors, limit number of feedback system to gauge the difficulties of trainees in the lessons. The training plan prepared may serve as a means to Improve the conduct of the TCCC training which deemed necessary for immediate consideration and implementation to make police personnel in BPPO effective in TCCC. This plan includes Trainors Training to Expand the pool of Trainors, Updating the TCCC curriculum to international Standard, Modular Examination to Check the Trainees’ and comprehensive Monitoring System on the lesson and Application.
