Abstract
ABSTRACT
The Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) is ore-hospital combat emergency care with the objective of prolonging the survival rate of the injured police in the battle and providing v=first aid measures to mitigate further complications. The study was conducted in Batangas police office in 2021. This capstone project evaluated the implementation of the TCCC Training in Batangas PPO using the CIPP model; identified the issues and challenges in the effective implementation of the TCCC training of PNP personnel in Batangas PPO; and came up with a training plan that would improve the implementation of the TCC, using a validated and pre-tested questionnaire 8 trainers and 69 police officers answered the survey through Google form.
The TCCC was assessed as a useful tool in improving combat operationalization and functionality as it provides practical exercises that enhance trainer’s ability in teaching learning by example and in executing authentic and reality-based scenarios. The major issues identified were the limited number of trainers, limited number of lessons, students not actually assigned in field combat casualty care, and lack of feedback system to gauge the difficulties of trainees in the lessons. The training plan prepared may serve as a means to improve the conduct of the TCCC training which deemed necessary for immediate consideration and implementation to make police personnel in BPPO effective in TCCC. This plan includes Trainers Training to Expand the Pool of Trainers, Updating the TCCC Curriculum to International Standards, Modular Examination to Check the Trainees’ Comprehension, and Comprehensive Monitoring System on the Lessons and Applications of TCCC.
