Abstract
INTRODUCTION
Police officers are one of the front liners whore are tasked with regulating peace and order within communities, especially during this pandemic. A disease brought on by a brand-new coronavirus known as severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 is referred to as coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19 outbreak was deemed a global health emergency by the WHO on January 30, 2020, and was subsequently declared a global pandemic on MARCH 11, 2020 (CENNIMO, 2022). As a result, countries have decided to put a travel ban restricting residents to go out of the country and as well as the foreign entries. Furthermore, community quarantines were also implemented in order to mitigate the spread of the said virus. With that being said, the pandemic has changed the lives of the people most especially to their health and well-being. According to Haleem and JAVAID (2020), the cause of this disease has an impact on a wide range of industries and sectors, including those in the pharmaceutical, solar energy, tourism, communications, and electronics sectors. Therefore, the global economy and the daily lives citizens were both significantly impacted by the virus.

With the efforts in mitigating the spread of the said disease, the study of stronger et al. (2020), stated that all elements of society were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic’s social upheaval and changing conventions. But first respondents, especially the police, were extremely challenged. And in addition to carrying out their duties, law enforcement officials have been asked to organize local shutdown, promote social withdrawal, and enforce laws requiring people to stay at home. In this paper titled Stress Factors That Affect Police Performance in MANJUYOD. Municipal Police during the pandemic, it aims to identify the stress factors affecting the police performance during the pandemic in the Municipality of MANJUYOD. On the other hand, police officers also have responsibilities, mostly in connection with the implementation of strategies to limit the transmission of the infection, such us limiting public gathering places and enforcing self-isolation and quarantine procedures (BOROVIC et al., 2022). As a result, police officers may incur higher risk due to the persistent risk of virus exposure and the enforcement of the stay-at-home law compliance. With that being said, it is important to address the factors behind it in order to mitigate its effects and as to propose solution to overcome stress, thus leading to a better performance in regulating peace and order during this pandemic.
