Abstract
Monkayo Fire Station is now facing all the challenges because of flooding in the
areas. It has been their major issues considering that the station has limited resources. In
this light, the study focused on: determining the level of effectiveness of coordination
with the LGU and community by the Fire Station, identify problems encountered during
the planning, coordination and implementation of flood hazards mapping and request
support from the LGU regarding the flood hazard mapping.
The researchers used the quantitative method of research, wherein it can measure
and describe whole societies, or institutions, organizations or groups of individuals that
are part of them.
Flood mapping is crucial for fire stations as it helps them prepare and respond to
flood emergencies effectively. By identifying high-risk flood areas, Moncayo Fire Station
can establish evacuation routes, pre-position supplies and equipment, and develop
response plans.
The authors arrived at the conclusion that based on the scores given by the BFP,
LGU, and barangay officials, it can be inferred that there is a high level of satisfaction
with the coordination between them in terms of flood risk management. The researchers
also concluded that there are several challenges that need to be addressed in order to
improve flood hazard management and response at the local level. These include the need
for better communication and engagement with community members to ensure their
cooperation during emergencies, the importance of effective coordination between task
forces and LGUs in implementing flood hazard mapping, and the timely release of funds
for logistics and equipment.

Based on the conclusions drawn from the study, it is recommended that the
Moncayo Fire Station, LGU, and barangay officials continue to prioritize and invest in
their collaboration and coordination efforts to further enhance their ability to respond to
flood emergencies. The researchers also recommend that regular joint training and
exercises be conducted among the Moncayo Fire Station, LGU, and barangay officials to
enhance their skills and knowledge in flood risk management. This can help them better
understand each other's roles and responsibilities, improve communication and
coordination during emergencies, and develop a more efficient and effective response.
