Abstract

This study assesses police student satisfaction in the National Police Training Institute’s (NPTI) Public Safety Officer Candidate Course (PSOCC). Recognizing the crucial role of NPTI in preparing Police Non-Commissioned Officers PNCOs), the research focuses on enhancing program quality based on student feedback. Citing Delice and Cuizon, the study emphasizes the importance of identifying and addressing educational weaknesses to produce competent and morally upright PNCOs. The research, conducted at the National Capital Region Training Center, integrates primary data from Key Informant Interviews (KII) and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Three individual KII and seven FGD participants provide diverse perspectives on satisfaction levels and improvement areas. Objectives include perspectives on satisfaction in course modules, faculty, and facilities, and contributing to NPTI’s commitment to continuous improvement. Secondary data sources include the course curriculum, relevant periodicals, and academic literature on police training programs, enriching the study with theoretical frameworks and best practices. The result of the study findings and recommendations contribute to the NPTI’s goal of delivering high quality, adaptive training for law enforcement professionals.
