“Prevention is better than cure. It is better to stop something bad from happening that it is to deal with it after it has happened”. Prevention/deterrence of crimes is one of the concerns in the PNP’s Public Safety and Security Programs to implement in their area of responsibility. This thesis on Determinants of the Compliance on the Installation, identifying its level of effectiveness fin the promotion of public safety and security, and determining the issues and challenges encountered in its installation. The study adopted the descriptive method of research using quantitative approach which was utilized for processing the data gathered employing quantitative approach to test or confirm theories and assumptions through utilization of survey questionnaires participated by 150 respondents the groups of PNP, Barangay officials, and Commercial Establishment Owners distributed using Proportionate Stratified Probability Sampling. CCTV cameras are vital tools that help prevent crimes. It is therefore imperative that Commercial establishment owners shall install CCTV in their respective establishments and PNP with the collaboration of the Barangay officials and support of the City Government shall conduct regular monitoring of the functionality of the existing CCTV’s, and mapping of the establishments without CCTV installed in their area and endorse the list to the City Government for the possible mandate of the installation of CCTV of all commercial establishments in the city.
