Abstract
This study was focused on the organizational assessment of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Forensic Group (FG) in Mindanao in relation to Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) and Management of the Dead Missing (MDM) in terms of the level of organizational motivation, organizational capacity, human resource capability and organizational performance. It employed quantitative methods research, specifically, the cross-sectional research design using the pre-structured survey questionnaire. Results revealed that the PNP- FG in Mindanao are highly motivated in terms of vision, mission, goals, values and awards. The level of organizational capacity of the PNP FG is also high especially in terms of structure, systems, program management, financial management, information technology and equipment. Moreover, the level of performance of the PNP FG relevant to efficiency, effectiveness, responsiveness and sustainability is also high. Generally, the organizational assessment of the Philippine National Police Forensic Group in relation to Disaster Victim Identification and Management of the Dead and Missing in Mindanao is high. This indicates that the knowledge, skills, training, supplies, and technical know-how is sufficient to deliver DVI and MDM responses to the Filipino people.
