Abstract
This study evaluates the KAAGAPAY fire safety program's effectiveness in
Barangay Poblacion and Barangay Nancayasan, Urdaneta City. Aimed at identifying
specific needs and assessing program impact, the research highlights the necessity of
increasing the frequency of fire safety seminars and drills to quarterly sessions for both
communities. Tailored educational interventions for vulnerable populations, including
older adults, young children, and individuals with disabilities, are recommended, using
interactive and age-appropriate methods. The development of mobile applications
providing fire safety tips, emergency contact information, and interactive training modules
is suggested to enhance community preparedness. Additionally, organizing annual
community-wide fire drills and simulations to reinforce preparedness and response
protocols is advocated. Implementing a recognition and incentive system to reward
proactive participation in fire safety programs is also recommended. These measures aim
to strengthen the KAAGAPAY program's impact, resulting in better-prepared communities
and a reduction in fire incidents in the target barangays.
