Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the Development of Digital Communication Competency of the Public Safety and Security Agencies in Region 11. It employed a descriptive-correlational research design under a quantitative research design that utilized survey questionnaires through sampling technique employed to the total enumeration of the respondents. Primary data were collected, organized, analyzed and interpreted through the use of software, particularly Microsoft Excel and Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Therefore, the researchers were able to conclude that the domains of competencies of the Public Safety and Security Agencies in Region 11 in terms of knowledge, skill and attitude have strong inter-correlation, which includes investing in people and organization in terms of Information and Data Literacy, Communication and Collaboration, Developing, Digital Content, Safety, Problem Solving, Device and Software Operation and Career Related Competencies. Also, the Public Safety and Security Agencies in Region 11 must invest in their people to strengthen an sustain the competency of each member. These competencies must align with the respective organization’s mission and vision.
