Abstract
ABSTRACT

This action research aims to determine the causes, effects, and prevention of residential wild land and grass fires within the identified residential areas. It is also primarily important to disseminate information about the tips and safety protocols regarding wild land and grass fires and to assess the coordination with the land owners and land administrators about their responsibilities as a citizen. It also aimed to develop strategic plans on preventing vegetation fire. Generally, it sought to educate various people who are either directly or indirectly involved in the occurrence of the type of destructive fire mentioned in this research.

The survey was made about the BFP program about the responsibility of both the land owners/ administrators, tenants and residents, and the BFP as partners in mitigating its negative effects of such fire events. The researchers found out that the firefighters, as well as the land owners/administrators, tenants and residents, assessed that their observation on the firefighters in carrying out the BFP program about the prevention of wild land and grass fires are to a very great extent. However, with the observation on the collaborators (land owners/administrators, tenants and residents), assessed that their coordination with the BFP program about the prevention of wild land and grass fires are to a great extent only. This implied that both parties have the responsibility to collaborate with each other to form plans and strategies on responding to wild, land, and grass fires. Likewise, there is also a need to educate other people in wild fire or grass fire-prone areas within their communities. Thus, this action research also determined the lapses on the information regarding wild land and grass fires of the residents and how will the BFP deal with spreading awareness regarding such matters. Furthermore, the BFP is also responsible to create and communicate with larger audiences like the community, other government agencies, non-government organizations, and private businesses/companies about an update to the design, projects and plans regarding fire safety management. The formation of such plans requires manpower, research, and team from the BFP to further investigate fire scenes and the steps to avoid such situations to happen again.
