Abstract
A government organization charged with preserving public safety and tranquility, the Philippine National Police recognizes the value of providing health care benefits as part of its initiative to improve the welfare and morale of law enforcement personnel who put their lives in danger to assist and defend the public.
This study presents a relatively extensive examination of the health care benefits provided to Eastern Police District staff. The recipients only received a small amount of help, which is inadequate overall. Given the challenges PNP Uniformed personnel have in receiving health care coverage, these measures need to be addressed. Furthermore, this study offers two recommendations from the conducted survey to enhance PNP healthcare benefits in terms of bettering benefit delivery to raise PNP morale and obtaining a Health Maintenance Organization to avoid client financial burden when hospitalized, whether in the course of duty.
