Abstract
INTRODUCTION

Current evidence shows that 80% of patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) exhibit mild symptoms and do not require hospitalization. The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued guidance for care of patients with mild symptoms who can conduct self-isolation at home. However, under circumstances where safe and appropriate home care is not available, or where vulnerable people are present in the home, patients with mild symptoms should be properly isolated and managed to prevent further community transmission, these strategies have proven effective in supplementing the limited health-care resources more efficiently.

Philippine National Police COVID-19 Data reported 39, 843 cases, with 2, 085 active cases 37, 641 recovered from COVID-19 infection and 117 succumbed from death as of September 30, 2021. With these increasing number of COVID-19 cases Philippine National Police stablished Kiangan Emergency Treatment Facility to accommodate confirmed COVID-19 cases.

The PNP General Hospital (PHPGH) is a level 2 health facility with a 176-bed capacity licensed by the Department of Health. The said service unit was the one who worked to restructure Kiangan billeting and transient quarters into a quarantine facility. The Kiangan Quarantine Facility (KQF) was licensed by Department of Health last February 15, 2021 but operational since April 2020 to cater COVID-19 positive patients with none to moderate symptoms.
