Abstract
This study focused on the Status of Expired Firearms Licenses in Quezon Province. The study is a descriptive type of research. The respondents are the Police Officers in Quezon Province handling eexpired firearms licenses. This study will make use of the questionnaire as the main guide of the study. Statistical tools will be used in measuring and analyzing the results.
The status of expired firearms licenses in Quezon Province has raised concerns regarding public safety and legal compliance. This research endeavors to shed light on the extent of this issue by providing a comprehensive analysis of the current state of unrenewed firearm licenses within the province. By adopting a descriptive research approach and engaging with the key stakeholders responsible for handling expired licenses, namely the Police Officers in Quezon Province, this study aims to uncover critical insights that can inform the development of a strategic action plan.
The significance of this research lies in its potential to contribute to the enhancement of public safety and the promotion of responsible firearm ownership. As firearms are prevalent in various aspects of Filipino society, including personal protection, sports shooting, and hunting, it is imperative to ensure that these firearms are in the hands of individuals who meet the necessary legal requirements and standards. Understanding the reasons behind unrenewed firearm licensess, whether they stem from administrative challenges, lack of awareness, or other factors, is essential to crafting an effective strategic action plan.
