Abstract
The study aims to determine the law in the utilization of Annual Physical Examination of Philippine National Police personnel. Further, the study tackles the current status of the Annual Physical Examination Implementation in terms of distance, health attitude and awareness and the challenges affecting the implementation of the annual Physical examination of uniformed personnel of the Pampanga Police provincial office. Further, it determines the proposed measures to address the challenges encountered that affect the annual physical examination of Pampanga Police provincial Office.
As depicted in the data gathered through survey document analysis, KII and Focus Group Discussion, the following were the findings of the study. Annual Physical Examination has been a part of all Philippine National Police personnel. The APE is very significant to all PNP members, for this will able to check the conditions of police personnel health at the early possible time but in some manner they are loopholes in the conduct of the APE particularly due to unavailability of financial and logistical resources.
In the light of the foregoing findings, the following conclusions were drawn: The Regional Health Service 3 continuously conduct the Annual Physical Examination yearly to monitor the health status of the uniformed personnel of the Pampanga Police Provincial Office. The Annual Physical Examination will boost the welfare of the PNP personnel provided with a complete information dissemination with appropriate budget. The conduct of the Annual Physical Examination is highly commendable however, it can be expanded to include dental checkup or surgery. The Annual Physical Examination is a very good project for PNP personnel that must be continue, but it is still in the process of adjustment. The current information is relevant to the condition of the Philippine National Police personnel himself/ herself.
Based on the conclusions drawn from the findings of the study, the following recommendations are henceforth submitted: Regional Health Service 3 needs to initiate a program that will give emphasis on health promotion instilling personal health awareness to all PNP personnel particularly with abnormal findings, regular monitoring the health status of PNP personnel to ensure their physical fitness, allocated with enough funds to ensure that policies or protocols is being observed accordingly; sustain the needed logistical requirements for the annual physical examination among PNP personnel through outsource from concerned agencies, follow-up check-up and medication is a must to enhance the APE for the betterment of the PNP organization.
