BLENDING WITH THE NEW NORMAL: THE PSOAC STUDENT EXPERIENCES

The national police college (NPC), a very significant institution that offers public safety officers mandatory schooling, adapts to blended learning. NPC’s goal is to provide proper and excellent education to student officers even during this time of health crisis.

Therefore, this group chose to gather relevant and factual information to known and perhaps, later aid the institution on their goal. The case study topic, blending with the new normal: the PSOAC Students’ experiences, aims to determine the necessary tools, technical knowledge, and skills that a student officer must be equipped and possess in the new approach of blending learning.

The PSOAC Classes 2020-01 to 04 are the pioneer classes which the NPC first introduced the alternative medium of instruction that is through virtual or digital platforms. However, it is a fact that in every new system, there are pros and cons, ease and struggles. Hence this case study would allow future student officers, professors and NPC staff to have a grasp on what are the challenges and gaps and likewise, the possible opportunities and strategies to enhance this approach.
